LATIUM-WESLEY-GREENVINE VFD HOSTING 38TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISER SATURDAY
The Latium-Wesley-Greenvine Volunteer Fire Department is getting ready to celebrate with its 38th Annual fundraiser this weekend.
The fundraiser will be held at the fire station on 12255 FM 389 in Latium, beginning Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. Hamburgers and beans with brisket will be served, along with refreshments, at no charge.
Fire Department Fundraiser Chairman Henry Strait says the fundraiser, held on the third Saturday in October each year, accounts for 75 to 80 percent of the fire department’s annual operating budget.
Strait says there will be a lot of one-of-a-kind items in the silent and live auctions.
The auctions will also include high quality and unique homemade items. The silent auction begins at 5 p.m., and the live auction at 7 p.m.
