LOCAL LIONS CLUBS HOSTING SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
The Lions Clubs of Carmine and Round Top are helping students go back to school with a school supply drive.
From August 16 to the 26th, the Lions will be taking supplies at the Round Top and Carmine State Banks, during regular banking hours—until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and until noon on Saturdays.
The Carmine and Round Top Lions Clubs are also putting on a “Fill the Bus with School Supplies” event, tomorrow (Wednesday) from 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The bus will be stationed in Carmine between JW’s Steakhouse and the gas station on these days. Volunteers are needed for these events.

Elementary list of supplies needed: No. 2 pencils and erasers, red checking pens, scissors, map pencils, multi-colored highlighters, hand-held pencil sharpener, pouch for supplies, wide-ruled notebook paper, 3x5 lined index cards, box of Kleenex tissue, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer
High School list of supplies needed: pencils and erasers, pens (red, blue and black), scissors, map pencils, multi-colored highlighters, notebook paper, container disinfecting wipes, 100-page composition notebook, index cards, Kleenex tissue
