LOCAL SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE STILL OFFERING SERVICES BY PHONE
Officials with the local Social Security office are reminding the public, while they are not open to walk-in visitors, they are still able to provide help by phone.
Callers can speak with a representative by calling the local Social Security office at: (855) 287-4792 or the National 800 Number.
Officials say they continue to offer many secure online services at www.ssa.gov/onlineservices, where the public can:
- Apply for Retirement, Disability, and Medicare benefits;
- Check the status of an application or appeal;
- Request a replacement Social Security card (in most areas);
- Print a benefit verification letter; and more.
Anyone that has a critical situation and cannot be helped by phone or online, may be able to schedule a live appointment.
Social Security officials are continuing to extend certain deadlines wherever possible.
