LOCAL STUDENTS COMPETE AT BRAZOS VALLEY REGIONAL HISTORY FAIR
Students from across the Brazos Valley competed Friday at the Brazos Valley Regional History Fair.
The competition, held at the Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, tested students from Washington, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Waller, and part of Madison Counties on topics related to this year’s theme, “Breaking Barriers in History”.
After entering their local school history fair, winning students from the aforementioned counties advanced to the tournament held Friday. The top two finalists in each category advance on to Texas History Day on April 25th in Austin, sponsored by the Texas State Historical Association. State winners will then travel to the National History Day competition in early June at the University of Maryland.

The winners of the competition will be announced Monday.
