The Impact of the Drought—What is Water Worth is the topic for the Sixth Annual Lone Star Water Forum.

The Forum is set for Saturday, October 4th at the Washington County Fairgrounds Event Center.

The emcee and event organizer Larry Joe Doherty says this will not be like the previous Lone Star Water Forums…

 

Among this year’s speakers are State Senator Craig Estes, co-chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee; State Representative Doug Miller, chair of the Special Purpose Districts Committee and a member of the Natural Resources Committee.

Former Houston Mayor Bill White will discuss “Balancing the Interests in our Water Future.”

And, St. Edwards University professor Charles R. Porter will discuss, “A Perspective on Realistic and Sustainable Water Policy”.

Doherty says water rights will be a big topic of conversation…
