LONE STAR WATER FORUM TO BE HELD MARCH 30TH

  

The 8th Annual Lone Star Water Forum is set for next Saturday in Brenham.

The program will be held at the Washington County Fairgrounds Events Center at 1305 East Blue Bell Road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s conference will be covering the transfer of groundwater from wet to dry areas.  Speakers will discuss how groundwater transfer affects residents in several area counties, how to understand groundwater conservation districts, and the role of state agencies in the matter.

Speakers include St. Edwards University Professor Dr. Charles Porter, John Dupnik of the Texas Water Development Board, and Vanessa Puig-Williams for the Trinity Edwards Spring Protection Association.

Pre-registration for the event is $10, and is encouraged.  Registration includes a barbecue chicken and brisket lunch, catered by Sandtown Catering.
