LONGTIME MEMBER OF WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE RETIRES

A longtime member of the Washington County Sheriff’s Department has retired.

According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, Patrol Lieutenant Robert Duane Houston officially retired from the Washington County Sheriff's Office on Friday.

Houston’s career spanned over 12 years of service to the citizens of Washington County. He began his service as a deputy, and later was promoted to Sergeant and then to Lieutenant.

“He had earned praise and compliments of many of our citizens over the course of his career and his service to our county will be missed” says Sheriff Hanak.  “The entire staff of the Washington County Sheriff's Office wishes the best for him and his wife Judi in the next chapter of their lives.”
