MAN IN COURT OVER BURNING A TODDLER IN A BATHTUB
A 21-year old Caldwell man is having a hearing in the 21st district court in Burleson County today (Monday) on charges he burned a 13-month old with hot water.
Izaiah Donte Jones is charged with burning the boy in an incident on August 20th at the boy’s residence. The indictment says Jones placed the boy in the bathtub and turned the shower on hot and full blast. He then turned the cold water faucet on and then left the room.
Family members took the boy to the Burleson County Health Center in Caldwell before he was transferred to a Galveston Hospital.
The boy suffered second degree burns but survived the injury.
A trial date is still pending for Jones.
