McNEIL SENTENCED TO 99 YEARS FOR BLINN STUDENT’S MURDER
A judge, Tuesday, sentenced Ronald McNeil to 99 years in prison for the murder of a Blinn College student.
McNeil was convicted last week for the 2015 murder of Lacie LaRose at a graduation party in Brazos County.
Tuesday, prosecutors called in four witnesses to testify. The defense called two witnesses, including McNeil.
McNeil admitted he had shot LaRose then kept asking the LaRose family for forgiveness.
After two hours of deliberation, Judge Kyle Hawthorne sentenced McNeil to 99 years in prison.
Lacie's mother, April LaRose, who sat through the entire trial, said she felt a sense of relief.
