Clint Kolby, the Project Manager of the Economic Development Corporation told the Council that GSL Constructors, which is building the PPE plant in the Brenham Business Park has changed its name to GSL Partners.  Kolby said even this minor name change was needed to keep the tax phase in current and legal.

Precision Polymers  is making a total $8.3 million capital investment in the city with GSL investing  $3.3 million to construct a 30,000 square foot facility that would eventually emply 60 workers and adding $1 million dollars to the payrolls in the city.

The City Council had to take a similar action in the tax reinvestment zone for Tempur-Sealy International at today’s (Thursday’s) meeting.

Kolby told the Council that the corporate office at Tempur-Sealy had slightly modified their name in the tax phase in agreement.  The correct name on the agreement is ‘Tempur-Sealy International Incorporated,’ but they changed it to Tempur Sealy Incorporated and All Related Affiliates.

Tempurpedic merged with Sealy Mattress and because of this they are expanding their manufacturing facility in Brenham.
