MINOR FLASH FIRE REPORTED

  

Early this morning, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to 303 N. Austin Parkway for a reported explosion and fire at Brookshire Brothers. Fire Department units arrived and found no fire and moderate damage to one of the columns at the fuel isle.

BFD units were advised that a delivery truck was dumping fuel into the underground tanks when the explosion happened. No one was injured and damage was to the column on the canopy. The cause of the incident is under investigation by BFD.
