NANCY CAROL ROBERTS LIBRARY HOLDING SMALL BUSINESS CLASSES

  

The Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library will host several free, small business focused classes over the next several weeks beginning Saturday May 20, 2017.

The classes will take place in the Library program room.

The classes are being offered by the library in partnership with the Blinn College Small Business Development Center and made possible by funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services through a grant to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.

The first class, “An Introduction to QuickBooks – (The Online Version),” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 20th. The class taught by CPA, Julie Gilmer will focus on the basic functions and features of the online version of QuickBooks. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, but library laptops are available for up to 7 people.

The other class offered will be, “Going Social: Aim, Ready, Post,” presented by Beth Miller, the highly interactive class will teach attendees how to build a social media plan and create visual content that attracts customers. The class will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24th.
