NAVASOTA ISD NAMES SUPERINTENDENT FINALIST

  

The Navasota ISD Board of Trustees has named a finalist in their search for a new superintendent.

On Tuesday, the board announced Dr. Stu Musick from Hubbard ISD as the finalist for the position.

The board says they selected six applicants for initial first-round interviews. Three applicants were invited back for a second interview. With the second round of interviews completed, a committee of the board visited Hubbard ISD for a site visit before reporting back to the board. The board is scheduled to vote to offer a contract to Dr. Musick later this month following the mandatory 21 day waiting period.

Dr. Musick is currently in his 26th year as an educator. During those 26 years, he has served as a teacher, a coach, a middle school principal, a high school principal, and Superintendent in two previous districts.

His official start date is slated for Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017, as Navasota ISD begins the second semester.
