NAVASOTA POLICE ARREST SECOND SUSPECT IN ROBBERY
The second suspect in a Navasota robbery has been arrested.
24-year-old Jamal Brooks of Navasota has been taken into custody, one of two suspects reported to have robbed the A&B Food Mart on August 23rd, around 11 p.m.
The first suspect, 19-year-old Deeldre Richardson of Navasota, turned himself in to authorities on October 5th. He was released the same day, on $20,000.
Navasota police say Brooks and Richardson robbed the store, openly showing a weapon to the clerk. Police Chief Shawn Myatt says, according to investigators, that more than $1,000 in cash was taken.
Brooks remains at the Grimes County Jail.
