NAVASOTA POLICE CHIEF STEPPING DOWN

  

The Police Chief in Navasota is stepping down.  Police Chief Justin Leeth has informed the City Manager in Navasota that he plans to leave the position to seek other opportunities outside Navasota.

Navasota City Manager Brad Stafford said that Leeth requested to take his remaining vacation time immediately and plans to resign at the end of his vacation time which will happen over the next several weeks.

In the interim, former Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt will act as Chief of Police. Myatt will also continue acting in his current role as Assistant City Manager.

Leeth has been working with the Navasota Police Department since 2005. He was promoted to the role of Police Chief in 2015.
