NBA “MAKING PROGRESS” TOWARD RETURN IN 2020

Reports say NBA Commissioner Adam Silver met with the Board of Governors earlier this week and attendees left the meeting “feeling positive about momentum” toward the NBA returning to play this season.

The discussion reportedly included how the league and players will need to get comfortable that a player who tests positive would not result in the resumed league shutting down.

NBA teams have recently started to reopen practice facilities in states that have eased stay-at-home restrictions – which was always seen as a critical first step back.

Previous reports of the NBA salvaging the season have also included the possibility of keeping the teams in one or two cities and playing games in a central location in front of no fans.
