NEW ULM VFD HOSTING 69TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION SUNDAY
The New Ulm Volunteer Fire Department is preparing to celebrate 69 years with its annual barbecue fundraiser this weekend.
The celebration gets underway Sunday morning at the New Ulm Fireman’s Park. Barbecue beef, mutton, and pork will be served dine-in or drive-thru starting at 11 a.m., with meat sales-to-go at the barbecue pit at 10 a.m.
Other attractions include kids’ games, a moon walk, a bake sale and cake walk, and an auction at 1 p.m.
Plates are $12 for adults, and $6 for children 6-12. Tea is included. All proceeds from the event will be used for firefighting equipment and a new fire station.
The New Ulm Fireman’s Park can be found in New Ulm at 1899 Track Road.
