OKTOBIERFEST COMING TO ROUND TOP RIFLE HALL SATURDAY
The historic Round Top Rifle Hall will be filled with German tradition Saturday with the 8th Annual OktoBierFest.
Hosted by the Round Top Schützen Verein, the all-day event will feature German food, German music, and of course, German biers.
Festivities begin at 11 a.m. and run through 8 p.m., with the official keg tapping ceremony at noon at the covered pavilion. Bier will be served free to all while it lasts.
The menu includes bratwurst, Kassler-style pork chops, German potatoes, and sauerkraut.
In addition, the Auf Geht’s German showband from Houston, Enzian Baum, the Alpine Yodelers from Frelsburg, and the Round Top Brass Band will perform throughout the day.
Entry to the event is free. The Round Top Rifle Hall is located just east of Round Top at 710 FM 1457.
