OVER 17 KILOS OF COCAINE CONFISCATED IN FAYETTE CO.

A traffic stop on I-10 in Fayette County Tuesday morning led to the seizure of over 17 kilos of cocaine.

Just after 10:30 a.m., Fayette County Sheriff’s Sergeant Randy Thumann and K-9 Kolt stopped an eastbound Toyota Camry at the 658 mile marker for a traffic violation.

After speaking to the driver, Sgt. Thumann received consent to search the vehicle.  Kolt alerted to the dash area of the vehicle for the presence of illegal narcotics after jumping through the passenger window.

Sgt. Thumann and Investigator David Smith located 17.25 kilos of cocaine in the vehicle, hidden in an aftermarket compartment in the dash.  The cocaine had an estimated street value of $1,725,000.

The driver, 51-year-old Priscilla Hernandez of Weslaco, was arrested for Felony Possession of Cocaine and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.

  1. Great Job thats a huge amount of Drugs and the Money that would have been made off of it is amazing I wonder why Its always the same county making these kinds of Drug discoveries , I never hear of the Brenham Police catching anyone with this kind of Haul.
