PICKIN’ AND GRINNIN’ MUSIC FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND NEAR BELLVILLE

  

The sounds of Texas bluegrass music arrive this weekend in Austin County.

The Pickin’ and Grinnin’ Music Festival will feature right at a dozen bluegrass bands at the Coushatte RV Ranch, in between Bellville and Sealy at 2182 Nelius Road.

Musical entertainment begins on Thursday, but festival activities start as soon as Wednesday night at 6 p.m., with a potluck dinner in the stage room.

Some of the festival’s featured performers include Catahoula Drive, the Farm Hands, the Sabine River Bend Band, David Davis and the Warrior River Boys, and the Lonestar Bluegrass Band.

Tickets are $15 for Thursday, $25 for Friday and Saturday, and $60 for the full weekend.
