PLANTERSVILLE FIREFIGHTERS AND CITIZENS MOURN VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER

  

More than one thousand people, including firefighters from many surrounding communities, turned out Friday for the funeral of a young Plantersville-Stoneham volunteer firefighter.

20 year old Harley Mullenix was killed January 24^th in a traffic accident.  Mullenix funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Grimes Count Expo Center, with more than two dozen emergency vehicles leading the way to the Oakland Cemetery.  Hundreds of firefighters from neighboring stations attended the funeral, including Navasota, Grimes County, Bedias, Monaville, Meyersville, Bryan and College Station.
