PORTION OF FM 109 TO BE CLOSED NEXT MONDAY
The Texas Department of Transportation has announced that they will be closing a portion of FM 109 Monday of next week.
Beginning Monday, April 30, TxDOT will close FM 109, between Highway 36 and FM 3456. Motorists will be detoured to Salem Road during the FM 109 closure.
This closure is necessary for TxDOT to repair the railroad approaches on FM 109. The closure is expected to last one day from 8am until 5pm. Motorists who travel this area should expect delays and obey all traffic control in the area.

How about the R R crossing on Salem Road? It is deplorable; needs repairs. Is the county, state or the RR Company responsible to maintain it in a safe condition?
If it is the city of Brenham, don’t hold your breath. It has taken over two years to fix two bridges and they can’t complete construction of the outhouse at firemens park. Good luck!
That being said about outhouses, City leaders talk about Buy Brenham all the time why is there a Houston based company supplying portable outhouses when we have a local vender here. Don’t need ac this time of year.
Because, apparently, the City does it’s fair share of business with out of town companies. That is why they are in this current predicament. They contracted with an outside company to build the restrooms and now here they are!! Whoever made that decision should be reprimanded, as they would be in the private sector.
