PROBATION REVOKED FOR CATTLE THEFT SUSPECT

  

Three people have been sentenced in the latest edition of 21st Judicial District Court in Brenham.

54-year old Benjamin Gonzalez of Houston had his probation revoked and was sentenced to four years in prison and fined $1000 for a 2012 Theft of Cattle conviction.

Gonzalez was originally arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies and a ranger with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association after he allegedly stole calves from his employer’s ranch in Washington County and selling them at an auction in Giddings.

Also in District Court:

45-year old Gustavo Rivera Sanchez of Houston, was sentenced to four years in prison for an August DWI.

Sanchez was charged with Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More Offense – a Third Degree Felony.

And, 25-year old Haley Noel Buckingham of Brenham, was placed on three years’ probation for Possession of Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony.

Buckingham was also fine $500 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service.
