PROGRAMS SET FOR LATER THIS MONTH AT WINEDALE HISTORICAL COMPLEX

  

The Winedale Historical Complex is hosting a pair of free events later this month.

Coming up on Tuesday is the next installment of Winedale’s Lunch and Learn Program.  From noon to 1 p.m., David Collins, Treasurer of the Round Top Historical Society and member of the Fayette County Historical Commission, will discuss his upcoming book, “In the Backwoods We Lay: The African American Pioneers of Fayette County, Texas”.  The session will be held in the Meadows Large Classroom.

Then on Saturday, August 31st, the community is invited for free music and refreshments on the front porch of Hazel’s Lone Oak Cottage.  From 10 a.m. to noon, Mike Stroup and The Sisters, Ella and Celia, will provide live music.

Both programs will be held at the Winedale Historical Complex, located at 3760 FM 2714 in Round Top.  To learn more, call 979-278-3530.
