PUBLIC INVITED TO “SEND A SMILE” TO BRENHAM STATE SUPPORTED LIVING CENTER RESIDENTS

  

The Brenham State Supported Living Center (BSSLC) invites the public to take part in a pen pal program with BSSLC residents.

Through the “Send a Smile” program, community members can send letters and words of encouragement to residents at the facility.

BSSLC Community Relations Director Christy Shelton said staff are using the program to help bring happiness to residents during these trying times.

Those who are interested in sending letters are asked to keep messages simple and generic, and to not include any personal information.  They are asked to sign notes with just their first name, and to not put a name on the outside of the envelope.  The sender’s name and contact information will remain confidential.
