RAINS AND COOLER WEATHER

Texas got a lot cooler this weekend with a cold front bringing in a lot more rains to the state.

For Brenham, Washington County and the surrounding areas, the rains were much needed relief for the long term drought but there was trouble in other parts of the state.

As many as 100,000 residents in Harris County were without power early Sunday morning as morning storms dropped one to two inches in that area.

The power was restored to all but about 1300 customers of Centerpoint Energy by Sunday night.

Most powers outages were in Northeast Harris County.  Katy and Cinco Ranch Residents also had power outages.
