RED SOX DRAFT BRENHAM-NATIVE CALEB HILL IN MLB DRAFT

In the final day of Major League Baseball’s Draft, former Brenham Cub Caleb Hill was selected by the Boston Red Sox.

Hill, who played football for the past four years at Blinn College, then the University of Montana, did not play college baseball.

However, according to his father Shane, Hill threw for Boston scouts and they apparently liked what they saw enough to make Caleb their 36^th round pick.

The left-handed 2014 Brenham graduate was a quarterback his first three years at Montana before shifting to tight end in 2019.

Hill played baseball and football for the Cubs in 2013 and 2014.

Caleb is the son of Shane and Jennifer HIll of Brenham.  His siblings are Eli and Brianna.
