Brenham’s Reverend Randy Wells and his international ministry recently visited The Bahamas for a mission trip.

Rev. Wells and Byron Carter, co-founders of Building Bridges to the Bahamas (BB2BB), completed a six-day comprehensive mission trip to the city of Freeport on Grand Bahama Island.  Their mission trip included feeding over 650 people, speaking at the Falcon’s Boys Club, a prayer breakfast, church services and street witnessing.

Derek Stubbs, the evening announcer of DOVE 103.7 FM, the gospel station of Grand Bahama, was the visionary behind the third feeding program on the island.  He said Rev. Wells and Carter have “established valued relationships” since they began coming to the island in 2014.

The Bahamas continues to recover from Hurricane Matthew in 2016, Hurricane Dorian in 2019, and the economic impact of COVID-19 on travel and tourism.

The two spoke to 150 Bahamian boys at the Falcon’s Boys Club, which has acquired three properties to develop agricultural and vocational youth programs.  They also visited the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism Office, while Carter shared gospel messages through street witnessing in the Eight Mile Rock area.

The team plans to return August 19-23 to continue their ministry.
