SALT GRASS TRAIL RIDERS SADDLING UP
The famous Salt Grass Trail Ride is set to kick off this weekend in Austin County.
The Salt Grass Trail Ride, the oldest trail ride promoting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, gets underway Saturday at Wittenberg Pasture in Cat Spring.
Riders of all ages are stretched out single file for about a mile, and wind through the countryside for over 100 miles, through Bellville, Hempstead, and eventually Houston. The ride will culminate at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Parade in downtown Houston on Saturday, February 23rd.
