SCARECROW FESTIVAL BEGINS SATURDAY IN CHAPPELL HILL

It’s certainly beginning to feel a lot like fall, and that means it’s time for scarecrows in Chappell Hill.

The 43rd Annual Chappell Hill Scarecrow Festival begins tomorrow (Saturday) and runs through Sunday.  The streets of Chappell Hill will be filled with hundreds of vendors offering a wide variety of goods, like arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, and refreshments.

The event is being hosted by the Chappell Hill Historical Society, and will have many of the town’s historic buildings open throughout the weekend.

This year’s winning scarecrow entries will be displayed throughout downtown and the surrounding area. All entries and their locations can be seen at www.chappellhillhistoricalsociety.com.

This year’s entertainment for the festival features Abigail Taylor, the Heart String Band, Ryan Elise Fatheree, and Mexico Sol y Luna Dance Group.
