SEALY MAN DROWNS AT LAKE SOMERVILLE
Burleson County authorities continue their investigation into a Saturday night drowning at Welch Park at Lake Somerville.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office said 20-year-old Kendree Dashawn Citizen of Sealy went missing around 6:30 p.m. after jumping off a boat with several friends about 50 yards from shore with the intent of swimming to shore. The others made it back, but Citizen did not come back up.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens recovered Citizen’s body around 10:45 p.m. His body will be sent for autopsy to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Assisting in the investigation were Texas Game Wardens, CHI St. Joseph medics, and the Somerville Fire and Police Departments.
