A second person has died from COVID-19 in Brazos County.
Brazos County Health District officials said in a COVID-19 update Sunday the second person killed by the virus was a woman in her 90s. Health District officials said the woman had been hospitalized.
Saturday, the Health District confirmed the county’s first death related to COVID-19 in a man in his 80s. The man was in hospice care at the time of his death, and was said to have contracted the virus through community spread.
The Health District also confirmed four new cases in the county Sunday, bringing the county’s total to 44. Four of the cases are being hospitalized, down from six on Saturday.
