SECOND COVID-19 PATIENT IN FAYETTE CO. DIES
A second COVID-19 patient in Fayette County has died.
Fayette County Emergency Management Chief Craig Moreau confirmed the death Wednesday in a Fayetteville man in his 70s. Moreau said the man was hospitalized at an out-of-county hospital at the time of his death.
The first COVID-19 related death in Fayette County was reported April 22nd in a man in his 70s from the Schulenburg area. A Carmine woman in her 90s also died from complications with COVID-19 on April 19th, but as she was living in a nursing home in Brenham, her death was attributed to Washington County.
As of this (Thursday) afternoon, the county is reporting 27 confirmed cases, with 13 of them active. Twelve patients have recovered.
