SETTLEMENT REACHED OVER 2017 SONIC CYBER-ATTACK
The Brenham Sonic Drive-In is reportedly among 325 restaurants hit by a third party cyber-attack that occurred two years ago.
In all, five Sonic Drive-In’s in the Brazos Valley were affected.
A more than $4 million dollar settlement was reached to end a class action lawsuit back in November. Sonic denied all claims, but agreed to the settlement as a compromise to end the lawsuit.
This involves anyone who used a credit or debit card to pay for purchases between April 7 and October 28 of 2017.
Sonics in Brenham, Hempstead and two in College Station are among the 325 restaurants.
Affected customers have until April 19th to apply for a one-time payment of either $10 or $40 dollars.
