SEVEN SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Washington County District Attorney Julie Renken reports that seven individuals plead guilty in District court and have been sentenced.

32 year old Joe Angel Kapchinski of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 3 years in the Texas Department of Corrections for continuous violence against family.  He was also sentenced to 18 months in State Jail for possession of a controlled substance.

Letitia Nickerson, 44 of Brenham, was sentenced to 12 months in State Jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  She was arrested by Brenham Police in October of last year driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

18 year old Gamarcus Sheppard of Brenham was sentenced to 5 years’ probation, $1000 fine, and 250 hours of community service for two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  He was one of three individuals arrested in October of last year for the thefts of several vehicles in the area.

 

 

Garrett Sales, age 24 of Brenham was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication, a $1500 fine, 160 hours of community service, drug/alcohol treatment and education, and drug testing for possession of a controlled substance.  He was arrested for possession of cocaine after a traffic stop by Brenham Police last July.

22 year old Christopher Bertalotto  of Cypress was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication, a $1500 fine, 120 hours of community service, drug/alcohol treatment and education, and drug testing for possession of marijuana.  He was stopped for speeding in September last year and a search of his vehicle revealed a bag containing just under 15 ounces of marijuana.

Krystal Hope Counterman, age 52 off Brenham was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication, a $1500 fine 160 hours community service, drug/alcohol treatment and education, and drug testing for possession of a controlled substance.  She was arrested in March of last year for possession of methamphetamines, and marijuana after Brenham Police were called to Walmart.

Garrett Dillon Foster, age 19 of the Woodlands, was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication, a $900 fine, 120 hours community service, drug/alcohol treatment and education, and drug testing for possession of a controlled substance.
