SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS 3 ON DRUG CHARGES FRIDAY NIGHT

According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, three individuals have been arrested on drug charges, after a traffic stop by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.  On Friday night, Deputy Chris Garcia initiated a traffic stop on US 290 West on a vehicle driven by 35 year old Coldsprings, Texas resident James Dalton Shirley. During the driver interview, it was determined Shirley did not have a valid driver license, nor did the other two other occupants, identified as 51 year old Brenham resident Danny Lee Crone and 44 year old Conroe resident Mary Melissa Rickman. Deputy Garcia observed several open containers of alcohol within the vehicle, noted suspicious behavior and was given consent to search the vehicle. The consent lead to the discovery of opened containers of alcohol along with drug paraphernalia and several baggies containing a quantity of 8.4 grams of methamphetamine.

All three subjects were arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a First Degree Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Open Alcohol containers.

All three remain in the Washington County jail under bonds totaling over $40,000 each.

  1. That’s too bad ! I’ve watched one of these subjects fight addiction for years. It’s painful to know he can overcome but doesn’t believe in himself enough to win the fight. It’s equally obvious to me which subject owned the meth….and that’s a dealer level amount, so I hope we don’t see you again sir until your too old and frail to prey on people anymore
