ST. JOSEPH’S BRYAN TO OFFER FREE MAMMOGRAMS
An alarming 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. A mammogram is the most effective way to detect it, but many women in the Brazos Valley are not getting mammograms because they can't afford them.
St. Joseph Regional Health Center is hoping to help solve the problem by offering free screening mammograms to women in need.
Over the past few years, with the help of Pink Alliance, they've collected $27,000 which will cover the cost of mammograms for about 300 women.
By taking money out of the equation, they're hoping women will come in to get the potentially life-saving screening.

This is a wonderful thing that St. Joseph and the Pink Alliance group is doing. Shows that they care for people more than making money. I wish St Joes ( their sister hospital . Trinity ) was still here in Brenham.
