ST. JOSEPH’S REPORTS TWO H1N1 CASES.

St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan has confirmed that they recently treated two people for H1N1 including a nurse practitioner in Navasota.

The nurse believes she caught it from one of her patients at the St. Joseph Family Medicine Clinic in Navasota where she works.

She got a flu shot in September but still got sick.

St. Joseph Hospital and their ERs are treating upwards of 200 flu cases each week.

Dr. Alwyn Rodrigues say a flu shot is still the best defense.

He says 20 percent of the patients he's seeing at the St. Joseph ER in College Station have flu symptoms.

Houston health officials report at least 13 area deaths this winter from the H1N1 virus.
