STATE COMMITTEE TO HOLD NEXT MEETING ON BLINN CAMPUS
A Texas State Legislative committee will be holding it July meeting later this month on the Blinn College campus in Brenham.
The House Committee on County Affairs will meet Thursday, July 21st in the Blinn Administration Building on Green Street.
Local State Representative Leighton Schubert is a member of the committee which rotates its meetings to locations in its members’ districts.
The committee, chaired by Houston Representative Garnet Coleman, will tour the Blinn Campus prior to the meeting.
Among the items on the committee’s agenda will be: potential gaps in cybersecurity policies; evaluation of the Texas Commission on Jail Standards; and fee schedules for mandated services provided by sheriffs and constables.
The meeting of the County Affairs Committee is set for 12:30 on the 21st in the third floor board room of the Blinn Administration Building.
