TEENAGER ARRESTED IN CHAPPELL HILL FOR AUTO BURGLARY

  

Charges have been filed against a 16-year-old male, accused of stealing a vehicle this (Friday) morning in Chappell Hill.

According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, deputies were called out to the 7800 block of Highway 290 East in Chappell Hill around 7:30 a.m., to reports of a burglary.  Police determined that the 16-year-old had stolen—and was illegally operating—a motor vehicle.  The suspect was also in possession of dangerous drugs.

The juvenile was charged with the Burglary—and Unauthorized Use of—a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Dangerous Drugs, and Criminal Mischief.

The case has been turned over to juvenile authorities in Washington County.  Investigation continues.
