TENNIS TEAM FIGHTS BACK FOR WIN

The Brenham Varsity Tennis team won a close district match against Tomball, Tuesday, 10-6.

Brenham got off to a slow start in the doubles only winning 2 of the 7 matches. 

Simone Richarz and Karlie Weidemann won Girls #1 doubles 8-5.

Brennan Upchurch and John Schroeter took Mixed doubles, 8-6.  

Heading into the singles Brenham was down 2-5 and the team responded well. 

We won 8 straight singles to claim the victory.

Winning In boys singles was #1 Daniel Ward 2-6, 6-0, (10-3 super tie-breaker), #2 Hunter Griffin 7-6(8-6), 6-3, #3 Andrew Trostle 6-2, 6-3, #4 Aren Holt 6-3, 6-3.  

Winning in Girls singles were #1 Simone Richarz 6-1, 6-2, #2 Kaitlyn Hamilton 6-1, 6-4, #3 Karlie Weidemann 6-4, 4-6, (10-8 super tie-breaker), and #6 Brennan Upchurch 6-1, 6-1. 

Next match will be on Sept 30th in Waller.
