TEXAS 10TH COURT OF APPEALS RETURNS TO BLINN COLLEGE

  

 

The Texas 10th Court of appeals is hosting a public session on the Blinn College-Bryan campus, establishing a precedent that have a wide range of effects throughout the state. 

The court will sit in session beginning at 10am Wednesday in the Barbara L Pearson Banquet Room located inside the Blinn-Bryan Student Center. The Court will hear four cases. 

Included in those cases are Jennifer Kelly v, The State of Texas; Astin Redevelopment Group, LLC v. Citgo Petroleum Corp; Howard Harris, Jr. V. The State of Texas, and Carolyn Northcutt as Personal Representative of the Estate of James H. Bell v. City of Hearne and Rita L Ewing. 

The Texas 10th Court of Appeals, which consist of Justices Tom Gray and Justices Rex Davis and Al Scroggins, is based in Waco and hears civil and criminal appeals from 18 counties in Central Texas, including Brazos County. The Court’s 2012 visit to Blinn was its first in more than a decade, and the event’s success each of the last two years has inspired the court to return.
