Reports from officers from the Montgomery County Precinct One Lake Division says Ross Clayton Lehmberg was with a group of about 50 members of an Aggie fraternity who had rented a barge from the Just for Fun company when he jumped from the top deck. He hit the bottom deck and slid into the water.
Several of Lehmberg’s friends and other witnesses jumped into the water, trying to save him. After a more than three hour search by the diving team, Lehmberg’s body was discovered just past midnight on Sunday.
Officials are trying to determine what role alcohol played in this death.
Lehmberg graduated from Texas A&M in 20111 with a degree in marketing and was working as an area manager for True Protection, a home and business security company.
The Central Texas native was a Farmhouse Fraternity alumnus, though it was unclear if the that the group he was with Saturday night.
