TEXAS A&M MIDNIGHT YELL TO BE HELD VIRTUALLY

With the return of Texas A&M Aggie football this weekend comes the first Midnight Yell Practice of the year Friday at Kyle Field.

However, due to COVID-19, the tradition will take on quite a different look, as it will be held virtually.

The only students allowed inside the stadium will be the Yell Leaders, Aggie Band, and Parsons Mounted Cavalry.

The Midnight Yell will be livestreamed via Texas A&M’s social media pages, including YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook Live.

Yell Leaders are discussing options with university officials to allow more students to attend Midnight Yell Practices this season while still adhering to COVID-19 regulations.

Kyle Field will open up to 25 percent capacity Saturday when the Aggies open up the season against Vanderbilt.  The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m., with 5:30 p.m. pregame on KWHI AM 1280, FM 101.7, and kwhi.com.
