TEXAS A&M TO CONSIDER RENAMING BUILDING

The Texas A&M Board of Regents are considering renaming one of their iconic buildings after Governor Rick Perry, one of their famous alumnus.

The Regents are considering naming the building the Governor Rick Perry ’72 Building, and will also consider a resolution recognizing him as the longest-serving governor.

Perry graduated in 1972 with a 2.2 GPA.

Perry’s Press Secretary says that the governor would be honored if that decision was reached by the regents.

The academic building was originally a university library, built in 1914, and is now home to the Department of Sociology, Modern Languages and other offices.
