TEXAS MUSIC LEGEND RAY WYLIE HUBBARD COMING TO BRENHAM

ray wylie hubbardA Texas music legend is coming to Brenham.

Ray Wylie Hubbard will be performing live Friday night, May 27th in the Hasskarl Auditorium in the Barnhill Center at the Simon Theater.

Hubbard is hailed one of Texas’ premier singer-songwriters, releasing 16 albums – many of which have reached the top of the Americana music charts.

Among his most memorable songs he’s written is “Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother” which became a monumental hit for Jerry Jeff Walker.

The Houston Press says, “A night with Hubbard brings out several different sides of his musical personality; redneck rocker, beatnik bluesman, salty old hippie and ‘Senior Pastor for the Church of the Eternal Groove.”

An added addition will be a pre-concert interview by singer-songwriter and Brenham-native Darden Smith with Hubbard prior to the concert.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m., Friday night May 27th.  The pre-concert interview is at 7:00 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are $25 each and are available online at www.TheBarnhillCenter.com/events  or at 6:00 p.m. at the door the day of the show.
