TEXAS RANGERS INVESTIGATING BRYAN POLICE OFFICER
The Texas Rangers are investigating a member of the Bryan Police Department’s command staff, after an alleged assault Saturday evening.
Police were called to a home west of downtown Bryan, Saturday night to a reported assault.
The city did not name the officer because he's not been charged with a crime and has not been arrested, but it was confirmed the officer is a member of command staff for the police agency.
The employee was off duty and not working during what BPD daily activity summary is classified as a class “C” misdemeanor assault.
According to a police statement, Bryan P.D. has turned the investigation over to the Texas Rangers “as a result of the initial investigation”.
