“TEXAS SHOOT-NO SHOOT PROJECT” TO BE PRODUCED AROUND WASHINGTON COUNTY

You may be seeing some scary scenes around Washington County over the next few months with the Deans5 smallproduction of Texas Shoot – No Shoot project by Deans Defensive Shooting.

Filming of these real life scenarios are being conducted in various locations in Brenham and across Washington County in close coordination with both Brenham Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

John Deans of Deans Defensive Shooting is the director of these short self-defense scenarios who is creating courses for Concealed Handgun License carriers, home gun owners and eventually law enforcement officers.

Deans tells a little about his motivation for making this video

Deans2 smallDue to the high risk nature of the filming scenes with unloaded firearms sometimes visible to the public, Deans wants to notify the citizens of Washington County that all safety precautions have been addressed.  These include large signs displaying “Movie Set”, caution tape deployed, contracted off-duty law enforcement office monitoring set, and the 9-11 dispatch notified.  Both Sheriff Hanak and interim Police Chief Lange are kept informed of all publicly visible filming of these Shoot – No Shoot filming events.  All of these precautions are to prevent a mistaken action of a concerned citizen from thinking the filming is real due to weapons involved and realist nature of the action.

  1. I actually like this, it seems very helpful. Good idea for training purposes and getting people ready for certain scenario’s that might occur with the new laws coming into place.
