THREE INDUCTED TO CUB FOOTBALL HALL OF HONOR
Three new members of the Brenham High School Football Hall of Honor were inducted during noon ceremony Friday. The three new members are Eric Richardson, Wade Sisk, and Glen West.
Eric Richardson was an all-around athlete, earning a letter in football, basketball, and baseball his sophomore year in 1989. He played as a defensive back his junior year and as the quarterback his senior year. He thanked those who had helped him succeed, including his mother: He related this incident his senior year in a game against Belton:
Wade Sisk was an offensive lineman for the Cubs. He received all-district honors in 2001 and 2002, his junior and senior years. He credited Coach Glen West as one who had a great influence on him:
Glen West began coaching in Brenham in 1998, and is the winningest football coach in the school’s history. West related a story about a phone call he and coach Tim Oehrlein received when they didn’t think they had a chance getting the coaching job in Brenham:
The three inductees will also be honored before Friday night’s game against Marble Falls.
