THUMANN HONORED BY HOUSTON 100 CLUB AS OFFICER OF THE YEAR

  

800 804Sgt. Randy Thumann has again been honored by the Houston 100 Club as Officer of the Year at the annual banquet held this past Thursday.

The 62nd annual event is held at the Bayou City Event Center in Houston to honor those Law Enforcement Officers and Firemen who go above and beyond the call of duty. A total of seventeen firemen and twenty eight law enforcement officers were honored at this event.

Sgt. Thumann was honored for his performance, for which he and his K-9 partner Lobos, consistently continue to keep illicit drugs off community’s streets. In the course of 2015, Thumann made twelve significant cases which resulted in the seizure of over 2,000 pounds of Marijuana, 46 pounds of Methamphetamine, 29 pounds of Cocaine and 48 pounds of Heroin for a combined street value of $6, 675,000, and has seized countless number of vehicles and cash seized in the process.

These results are a testament to Thumann’s knowledge, training, experience and dedication to his duty. Sgt. Thumann was awarded a plaque along with a custom engraved Sig Sauer pistol in a presentation case.
